Welcome to our classes
Our classes are named after birds.

The Primary area at Meadowgate is comprised of 3 mixed ability classes named after small birds:

Wrens, Robins and Swallows

This year children from Wisbech primary schools have come to join some of our lessons and some of our students attend sessions at Nene, Ramnoth, Clarkson and Orchard Schools

We enjoy getting together for weekly primary assemblies and each class will perform in a special assembly once a term

The secondary area at Meadowgate School is comprised of four teaching groups:

Kestrels - Year Seven and Year Eight students

Falcons - Year Nine students

Hawks - Year Ten students

Eagles/Leavers- Year Eleven students who will leave at the end of the year also Post 16 students who have chosen to stay on at school

The sizes of the groups vary from 17 to 21 students. The teams of staff are made up of two teachers and at least three Teaching Assistants who plan, administer and evaluate Literacy, Numeracy and PHSE sessions. Other subjects are taught by specialist teachers throughout Secondary School.

The students benefit greatly from the supportive, caring and highly motivating attitude and commitment of the teams and the enthusiasm generated by the groups of staff who not only bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the normal curriculum but who constantly strive to offer additional activities, events, trips and residential experiences for the students. High expectations from staff also help to ensure an excellent work-rate and good standards of behaviour from the students.
